Weddings are wonderful occasions. God is present wherever the ceremony is held but a church setting gives an extra dimension. There is no better way to start married life than with God’s blessing.
Church weddings are often surprisingly less expensive than other venues, so if you are thinking of getting married do consider St Cuthbert’s – a warm welcome awaits you.
The clergy will work with you to make the service personal to each couple and offer both a preparation evening and a rehearsal opportunity. This helps everyone relax into enjoying the day itself.

The clergy are also delighted to pray blessing over a couple who have chosen a civil ceremony – just phone the Priest to chat about what you would like.
For couples who are already married there is the possibility to renew their marriage vows; this can be a private service in the home or church, or a significant celebration with guests in church or a different venue.
Confidential prayer is available to support family members through times of stress, associated with relationships in difficulty, finance, and times of challenging transition.
