Trekkers

Trekkers provides safe activities and story telling based on the Christian Faith. It is suitable for children from about 3 to 10 years of age. Trekkers happens in the Church meeting room, and children are invited to gather there after the beginning of the service. Our regular younger members lead the way with enthusiasm and anticipation!  They welcome visitors and quickly make new friends. If you are bringing a child for the first time do feel free to join the activities with them to help in the settling process.  Children enjoy craft, games and learning about Jesus before joining the rest of the congregation for the administration of communion.

During notices at the very end of the service the children share with the congregation some of their learning.  This is a highlight for all concerned – and adult church members feel a little bit envious of the fun, games and treats that characterise the children’s’ activities!

Trekkers is led by a team of ladies using national material.  All team members are DBS cleared and there are two leaders on rota for each session.  The church is extremely grateful to the team for their commitment in preparation and delivery of some great Trekkers sessions.
